My Approach

The core of my teaching is enabling clients/students to lean into their own self-authority and to connect with their body & breath, in the present moment, as a vehicle for insight, healing and transformation. I like to offer bite sized education alongside an in-depth embodied experience to illuminate how the body, brain, and nervous system interact and how mindfulness based practices (like yoga, breathing, awareness of emotions and their physical location in the body) can help us to feel less stuck and to experience greater freedom in our lives. It’s a bottom-up approach to health and well-being.


Yoga

Weekly drop-in classes held over Zoom

Mondays | 7:30-8:30 am

Early Morning Flow (All Levels): a slow-moving, mindful morning yoga practice to build awareness and resilience in mind and body.  I offer a weekly theme designed to support you over the course of the week. This Monday morning practice can be a nice way to establish a peaceful and grounded mind state as you move into a new week. 

Tuesdays & Thursdays | 9:30-10:30 am

Flow (All Levels): a slow-moving, mindful flow yoga practice to build awareness and resilience in mind and body.  All levels are welcomed and options are offered to encourage individual adaptation and empowerment.

Mindfulness Training for Emotional Resilience

Mindfulness is much more than meditation.  It is a practice of being in our lives with greater openness and curiosity vs. reactivity and resistance.  These trainable skills can be particularly helpful during times of difficulty and can create greater ease and freedom in mind & body.  

Mindful practices include meditation, movement, and simple, everyday practices such as eating, listening to music, exploring nature, being with friends and more.  

Please join us for this experiential course to discover the benefits for yourself.  We will cover the following over 6 weeks through practice and discussion:

  • What mindfulness is and what it is not

  • How it can change your brain to become less reactive and more at ease

  • How to regulate difficult emotions through awareness of the body

  • Simple practices that can be easily integrated into daily life. 

No experience is necessary. All bodies are welcome. It is great for beginners or a helpful booster for those with experience. All participants will receive user friendly handouts and recorded guided mindfulness practices after each class.

Befriending the Body

The body can be a tremendous source of insight, support, and personal healing.  At the same time, it can be difficult to become truly comfortable in our own skin when much in our culture sets up a “mythical norm” of what of body is “right” or “accepted” which serves to alienate us from ourselves. 

In this highly experiential workshop, we will use tools from body positivity movements, accessible yoga/movement, meditation, and journaling to welcome and care for our bodies in their magnificent messiness and imperfection.  The intention of this workshop is to be a healing, grounding experience of coming home to self. 

All bodies and beings are welcomed, encouraged, and celebrated.

Private Sessions

I offer private facilitation and coaching in stress reduction, enhancing mental/emotional resilience, and the ability to live more fully in the present moment.  We first connect (phone, zoom or live) to discuss your interests and goals and meet regularly to work together through meditation, breath and/or movement practice, journaling/reflection, and inquiry-based conversation.  

Corporate

I build custom corporate programs to achieve client goals including employee resilience, team building, leadership, and well-being. I offer ½ day, full-day, 4-6 week, and other customized programs.
